While many
extractions could look easy, they can soon become difficult and lead
to complications. This is rare opportunity for you to learn,, how to make
exodontia more predictable, enjoyable and routine in your office. This course
will review the best techniques and instruments used in oral surgery to help
make surgery, including surgical extractions, predictable and efficient -
while conserving adjacent anatomical structures. Practitioners will
be able to perform exodontia, flaps and other surgical techniques with
greater confidence and less stress. Learning to maximize
efficiency at the office, participants will provide a broader scope of
dental care to patients.
The course will
cover many oral surgery subjects, avoiding complications, routine
exodontia, surgical removal of teeth, bleeding prevention/management,
alveloplasty after multiple extractions, appropriate preparation and
armamentarium, case selection and recommendations for a referral.
Series Objectives
As a result of
attending this series, the dentist will be able to:
· Proper cases selection to minimize and avoid
complications
· More easily do “surgical” or difficult
extractions that frequently occur in general practice
·Prevent and/or manage complications that can
occur during oral surgery, such as bleeding, sinus problems, etc.
·Confidently perform a flap procedure, place
graft materials and obtain primary closure

Mikhail Mukhin, DDS
After graduation from Marquette Univ. School of Dentistry, Dr.
Mukhin complete an AEGD in the U.S. Air Force that included a strong emphasis
on dentoalveolar surgery. Following this training, he was stationed for a
year in Korea and then three years in Italy where advanced oral surgery
procedures were a routine part of these five years in the military.
Following active duty, Dr. Mukhin continues to do active reserved
duty with USAF. Now in his Milwaukee area practice, he enjoys providing
comprehensive dental care including surgical extractions, third molars,
implants and IV sedation. He spends a lot of time with his wife,
Linda, and their twin boys. Non-dental activities include photography, scuba
diving, and other outdoor activities. Dr. Mukhin is passionate about
sharing his surgery expertise with other dentists who are not as far along the
learning curve.
