While many extractions could look easy, they can soon become difficult and lead to complications. This is rare opportunity for you to learn,, how to make exodontia more predictable, enjoyable and routine in your office. This course will review the best techniques and instruments used in oral surgery to help make surgery, including surgical extractions, predictable and efficient - while conserving adjacent anatomical structures. Practitioners will be able to perform exodontia, flaps and other surgical techniques with greater confidence and less stress. Learning to maximize efficiency at the office, participants will provide a broader scope of dental care to patients.
The course will cover many oral surgery subjects, avoiding complications, routine exodontia, surgical removal of teeth, bleeding prevention/management, alveloplasty after multiple extractions, appropriate preparation and armamentarium, case selection and recommendations for a referral.
As a result of attending this series, the dentist will be able to:
· Proper cases selection to minimize and avoid complications
· More easily do “surgical” or difficult extractions that frequently occur in general practice
·Prevent and/or manage complications that can occur during oral surgery, such as bleeding, sinus problems, etc.
·Confidently perform a flap procedure, place graft materials and obtain primary closure
· Patient and case selection; informed consent
· Instruments and set-up;
· Anatomy and simple extractions.
