Being a general practitioner is hard. We (Dr. Accurso and Dr. Martin) have been in your

shoes and we understand the demands of the dental office. This 4-part review of oral

pathology is ideal for the dentist and dental hygienist looking for a refresher of common

clinical and radiographic pathologies encountered in everyday practice. We’ll also include

benign mimics, including key clinical features seen in premalignant and malignant lesions.

Series Objectives

1. Provide attendees with a review of oral pathology applicable in everyday clinical

practice.

2. Help attendees to formulate a differential diagnosis and recognize when to refer or

biopsy.

3. Review common and less common pathologic conditions affecting the oral cavity

4. Recognize risk factors for H&N cancer

5. Learn effective management strategies for common infections.
