This course explores the causes and impact of xerostomia, providing practical approaches for diagnosis and treatment. Attendees will learn how to incorporate salivary assessments into clinical practice to improve identification and management. The session will cover current treatment options, including evidence-based therapies, and discuss their risks, benefits, and alternatives. Participants will also gain strategies for educating patients on self-care and lifestyle changes to manage dry mouth effectively. By the end of the course, attendees will have the tools to confidently recognize and address xerostomia in their practice.
