Dr. Zuleidy "Zuly" Fernandez\'s journey in dentistry is as inspiring as it is unique. Born in Cuba, she immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of seven, embarking on a path that would lead her to become a respected leader in periodontal and implant surgery. Dr. Zuly\'s pursuit of excellence began early, attending New World School of the Arts High School and excelling in her studies at Miami Dade College, Edison State College, and Florida Gulf Coast University. Her passion for healthcare and leadership shone through as she served as the first Hispanic female student government president and founded her first nonprofit organization. Her dental education took her to the University of Puerto Rico, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with the highest honors. Dr.

Zuly\'s outstanding performance earned her prestigious recognitions, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Apex Scholarship and the Award for Outstanding Leadership and Academic Excellence from the American Academy of Women Dentists. Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to provide the best possible care, Dr. Zuly pursued advanced training at New York University Langone Medical Center and the world-renowned Mayo Clinic. There, she earned dual post-graduate degrees in Periodontology and a Master\'s in Biomedical Sciences. Her exceptional skills were recognized with the American Academy of Periodontology Student

Achievement Award - the highest honor given to a graduating periodontal resident. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a testament to her dedication to providing the highest quality care for periodontal patients. Bevond her professional achievements, Dr. Zuly is passionate about the arts, particularly music and musical theatre. This love for creativity infuses her approach to dentistry, allowing her to see each procedure as a work of art that enhances not just smiles, but lives.
