Course Overview

Medical emergencies do happen in the dental office! You only get one chance to do it right, and every second counts during a medical emergency. Recognizing the early signs and symptoms of common medical conditions and providing appropriate treatment can make the difference between life and death for our patients.

As healthcare providers, we must be familiar with the prevention, diagnosis, and management of common medical emergencies in dentistry. Since we do not utilize these skills each and every day, regular review is important so we can all be more confident if and when a real emergency occurs. Besides, it's also very fulfilling to be able to help in a time of need.
