Course Overview & Objectives

The roles that our dental professionals serve for law enforcement and other forensic sciences continue to evolve. Forensic dentistry contributes not only to scientifically sound human identification, be it a single individual or multiple fatality incidents, but also to the recognition, evidence, preservation, and proper documentation of abuse manifestations. We assist with missing persons cases, cold case investigations, and, in matters of civil litigation, citing parameters or standards of dental care provision.

The publicly accessible database called Namus Searchable for Missing, Unidentified, and Unclaimed Persons will be introduced for the cyber seleuth ready to volunteer! The Federal Multiple Fatality Incident Management Systems will be overviewed.
