Synopsis: 

Our teams and our patients have gone through a difficult time. Challenges affect how everyone responds and reacts to the world around them. This discussion will deal with how the recent past will affect our teams and patients and how we can make it easier to channel emotions for success.

• Understanding depression among dentists in the wake of COVID
• How to lessen the emotional impact of difficult times in our practices

Biography:

Dr. Howard Gurr is a very highly respected psychologist who specializes in treating anxiety and depression. For several years, he has conducted training programs for dental practices on how to deal with fear, anxiety, and phobias in dental patients. He is a pioneer in making “Virtual Reality Therapy” available to patients suffering from anxiety.

Dr. Steven Katz lost his practice 20 years ago to a series of life tragedies, then, after two years of suffering, rebuilt it into a multi-million dollar practice in a short period of time. Today he teaches dentists how to raise their standard of care, increase patients’ perception of the value of care and grow their practices to beyond their wildest dreams. In the last four years, Dr Katz has coached 94 practices and those practices have cumulatively grown by over $50 million. He is an author, award-winning speaker and a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. He was the team dentist for the NY Jets football team and a Dental consultant for Channel 5 Fox News in NY.
