Looking through the lenses of our loupes, everyone’s mouths may appear the same; teeth, lips, gums, tongue. But a zoomed out view, putting the entire patient to our focal point, is just as important as zooming in.

With a more well-rounded and current approach to patient care, we can achieve a higher level of patient satisfaction and compliance and a lower level of dental anxiety.

Upon completion of the course, the hygienist will be able to:
1. Define and relate cultural and global competency as it pertains to clinical and public health dentistry today
2. Understand the importance of current social awareness in clinical practice.
3. Articulate a more well-rounded approach to conversations with patients
4. Adventure into the world of National Mission Work and Global Dentistry through Mission Trips

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of Zoom Education, LLC and Young Dental.  Zoom Education, LLC is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.
