Procedure codes are part of every patient encounter yet there is a lot of confusion. Most dental professionals are caring, ethical, and honest. Yet, patients and possibly others you work with may ask if codes can be alternated, treatment dates changed and more to increase dental benefit coverage. Where can you go for answers to: What is the code for lasers and airpolishing? Is D0180 for perio charting? Do you have to have SRP on record before you can use D4910? Are we required to use D4346? If a patient has localized SRP on the right, what is the code for the left? Are those your top 3 most confusing perio codes? Maybe or maybe not, this interactive webinar will help you to know where to find for the right ethical and accurate answers.

Learning Objectives Upon completion of this course, the participant will:

• Protect against fraud being committed even by accident or ‘we always did it that way’

• Guard against misuse of the game changing D4346 gingival inflammation code

• Grasp the reasons why carriers can remap (down-code) but dental practices cannot

• Identify how dental hygienists need to create simple and effective “Twitter-Style” dentalmedical necessity narratives
