Overview
Dentists of the past, a hundred years ago or more, had detected
many of today’s health problems and were quieted by World Wars,
shenanigans, shouting, and downright lying. Thankfully, the Internet is
making old news new again. This course will look at giants and
distinguished mortals of the past whose observations can be put into
play today - right from our dental chairs. The observations and
diagnostics we make will help our patients live better lives, not just
extend their deaths. In doing so our patients yet-to-be-born offspring
will also experience improved health. That's not hyperbole - that's
epigenetics.
Food drives epigenetic changes that can improve or devolve future
generations into more dire facial changes leading to even bigger
airway problems. Today, many dental practices are turning their
attention to the vague idea of oral systemic health, airway, sleep
and sleep apnea which are just the tip of an iceberg.
This course is filled with videos of experts from many fields of health,
conversations on how new ideas can be implemented and historical
views translated to today’s theories and solid science.
What can we do better on Monday, and can we make a living
doing it? We can build a path to health for all of medicine to follow.
