08:30 AM - 04:00 PM CST | Navigating Periodontal Care for 2019 and Beyond | 6.00 | ||
Overview: Part 1: We know oral symptoms can be a key indicator of a more serious health condition. In- office measure of HbA1C, one of the many new CDT codes reflects the increasing role dental professionals can play beyond a patient's oral health. Codes continue to be added, revised and deleted. Many practices miss the opportunities accurate coding can provide. Part 2: The D4346 code finally assists in clearly identifying and treating gingivitis after decades of merely dumping gingival inflammation into the same category as health. We have been providing the care anyway, and this code provides a reason for patients to return to your practice, improve their health and boost your bottom line. This code isn’t just a number; it’s a game changer. Part 3: Most dental professionals are caring, ethical, and honest. They would never knowingly perpetrate any type of dental fraud, abuse, or scam. Patients and possibly others you work with may ask if codes can be alternated, treatment dates changed and more to increase dental benefit coverage. This is more than an ethical dilemma. Upon completion of this course, the participant will: - Merge the latest oral-systemic information into treatment decisions - Determine the most accurate risk assessment, diagnosis and treatment codes - Define the difference between D4355, D1110, D4346 and D4910 - Guard against misuse of the game changing D4346 gingival inflammation code - Use case studies of real life patients to make it real Presenter: Patti DiGangi Credits: 6.00 Course Contact: nddhavicepresident@gmail.com Course Categories: Periodontics (Diagnosis, Treatment (surgical/non-surgical), Maintenance, Scaling / Instrumentation, Supportive Perio Therapies) Provider Approval: Associated, affiliated, sponsored, approved, accredited, or offered by the (ADHA) American Dental Hygienists' Association,A person, firm or association approved by Section 1220.140 & 1220.250 of Illinois http://www.ilga.gov/commission/jcar/admincode/068/068012200A01400R.html Educational Type: Live Educational Method: Lecture Prerequisites: NA Sponsor(s): Air Techniques, CariFree, CURAPROX,DENTALRAT,GC America Inc.,Mouthwatch,PerioProtect, YOUNG Conflict of Interest Disclosure: None All CE Zoom related support: support.cezoom.com |
