Overview

Dentistry and Pain are synonymous for so many of our patients. Whether we need to
get better about managing the pain or the patient needs to do their part, there is definitely room for improvement. In this episode, Tom does a great job of explaining how pain is perceived by the patient and how to manage both the perception and the pain itself. Tom could speak for hours on this topic, and does regularly. Go see him at the next conference he speaks at to learn more!

What medications should we use for pain control in dentistry?
Does the patient’s weight change your protocol?
Should you ever mix medications? When?
How long should a patient be on pain meds before further intervention is needed?
Should opioids be used?
Why is Imodium being used recreationally?
