Description: The purpose of this course is for dental professionals to realize the importance of how an effective approach can enhance the dental experience and strive towards positive outcomes for all dental patients. There is a plethora of ways to give dental patients optimal care and various types of correspondences for all positions and situations in a dental office.

Objectives: Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to:

- Be aware of how the digital world has changed the dental office and patient reception.

- Learn effective ways to correspond with external dental labs and other out-of-office services.

- Networking with other Medical/Dental Professionals and Specialists for optimal patient treatment plans and referrals.

- Learn various methods and relating with special needs patients and caregivers for individualized and specialized various treatment options.

- Translate and comprehend the challenges of cultural differences and language barriers.

- Identify different personality traits and how to cope with each one while working in a dental environment.

- Learn professional ways to manage micro aggressions and control body language expressions.

- Dental professionals will realize effective communication and perceptions are vital for the most successful and efficient dental environment and greatly benefit all dental patients.


Speaker: Angie Yorina, RDH, MS, PHDHP

Angie Yorina, RDH, MS, PHDHP, received her MS from Misericordia University in Dallas, PA. Angie implemented a dental clinic at The Hope Center in Luzerne, PA and was the recipient of the PDHA Community Dental Health Award in 2008. She is a member of her Professional Associations of ADHA, PDHA and the Northeast Component. Angie works at Luzerne County Community College, in Nanticote, PA, as a Clinical Instructor. She also speaks on special needs patients, communication, toothpastes and polishing.

There will be a late registration fee of $10.00 after Tuesday, May 17, 2022 until the course date.
