On completion of this course participants will be able to:
List the identifiable changes that will characterize dentistry in the months after the virus challenge has calmed.

Course Summary:
Tips, tricks and techniques to get those open claims paid and off the books!
Bio:
Roy S Shelburne, DDS is a 1981 Honor Graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry. After graduation, Roy opened his practice in his grandfather’s old hardware store. He has served as president of the Southwest Virginia Dental Society and has volunteered at Virginia’s various MOM projects across the state. Roy has also served as a short-term missionary to Honduras with Baptist Medical Missions International.
Some dentists may fear litigation, but few worry about going to prison. On October 24, 2003, the FBI broke down the back door of Roy’s office and confiscated all of his business and dental records. Over the course of the next 3 years, every aspect of his life was subjected to the closest scrutiny. He was indicted in October of 2006. In March of 2008, Roy was found guilty of healthcare fraud, racketeering, and money laundering, and spent 19 months incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp in Manchester, KY before his release in 2010.
During the investigation and trial, it became apparent that his records, billing, and coding systems were faulty, and that ignorance is no excuse. While incarcerated, Roy had ample time to reflect on his life and found that true release comes when we draw from our strength, character, vision, wisdom, and experience. A speaker, consultant, and writer, Roy now specializes in records keeping and business systems that protect and defend other doctors from facing the same troubles.

Our patients (I have been taking my own poll ) ask me time and time again, I need my Botox! Some want it for therapeutic purposes and /or pain management therapy. Common procedures would be the treatment of head and neck pain, Gummy Smile, etc.
The investment on return is quite favorable. Initial certification training could be done NOW, via Online and as soon as it is allowed, the final live, hands-on training can take place across America. Human beings need to feel good about several things to function at a normal, satisfying daily level At or very near the top of that list is feeling and looking good. One of the best ways to look better ( or manage your chronic pain ) is the minimally invasive use of a Serological Type A Neuromodulator like Botox or Xeomin. Many of your existing patients are sitting at home waiting to hear that they can come back in. If you are not verified now is the perfect time to do the majority of the training from the peace, quiet and safety of your own home, Online!
The American Academy of Facial Esthetics offers an entire menu of courses and training that can be done Online to start. Once travel is allowed again, going for 1/2-1 day for live training will allow a dentist to complete the necessary training to market and offer these procedures to your patient base. It is also a great way to separate yourself from the pack and attract new patients

Designing the smile is one of the most important and often most disregarded aspects of predictable aesthetic results. More often than not, a clinician requests a wax-up or even the final restorations with no transfer of the variables of a smile from the patient to the ceramist. To provide predictable aesthetics, rather than just prepping and praying, requires addressing the variables of a smile. Join Dr. Hornbrook as he discusses the importance of communicating smile design variables with our patients such as length, smile line, buccal corridor, surface texture, incisal edge translucency, incisal embrasures, and gingival architecture and then how to transfer these variables to the ceramist. He will describe a very simple formula on how to determine these variables and what records need to be taken to ensure the ceramist can duplicate them.
