This course meets the requirements set by the Colorado Dental Board and hygienists will be allowed to use silver diamine fluoride following this course.
The objectives of this course are for the participants to:
• Learn the history and science behind silver nitrate and silver diamine fluoride
• Understand the diagnostic criteria, indications, and limitations for use
• Be comfortable with the procedure for SDF application and be able to implement in practice
• Be familiar with how to use SDF with other treatment options for optimal results
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) through the joint program provider approval of CE Zoom, LLC and CODHA. CE Zoom, LLC is approved for awarding FAGD/MAGD credit.
