Overview: It is not uncommon for hygienists to use one or two instruments to treat their patients. Often, these instruments are similar to what they used in dental hygiene school. Over the past ten years, the dental hygiene instrumentation market has exploded with new and innovative designs that change the way we provide care for our patients. Unfortunately, many hygienists are unaware of the newer technologies. This hands-on course will provide detailed information on the latest cutting-edge instrument designs from different manufacturers. This course will also assist dental hygienist with creating hygiene packs that require fewer instruments that fit within budgetary constraints and allow the clinician to treat patients with advanced periodontal conditions.
