The South Carolina Dental Hygienists’ Association invites you to
attend the first annual Mid-Winter Scientific Session, developed for you, using
suggestions from you, our very own South Carolina dental hygienists. Won’t you
join us on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Midlands Technical College-Airport Campus in
West Columbia, SC for this "can't miss" continuing education opportunity!
This one day session is a conveniently and centrally located
opportunity offering choices from the available classroom and hands-on course options
for both the morning and the afternoon. Attendees can pick either a 5 CEU or a
6 CEU track with pricing ranging from $100-$135. Your all-inclusive day
includes breakfast upon your arrival AND a catered lunch.There will be time to visit vendor exhibits
and a mini-marketplace. As an added BONUS, this one day session will feature a
timely lunch and learn course on labor and employment law.To wrap it up, a raffle giveaway will have
one of you going home with a Crown Seating saddle stool valued at over $800.

This presentation, designed for the dental hygienist, provides an overview of the latest advances in ultrasonic power scalers, with an emphasis on piezoelectric technology. With the increasing advances and positive research outcomes of piezoelectric technology, this course provides evidence based clinical information for practicing dental hygienists. Current research findings, as well as technique differences, will be presented and demonstrated. Attendees will have an opportunity to practice the correct instrumentation technique during the hands-on segment of the course.
