General course description: The complex composition of new restorative materials and the many claims made about these materials are confusing, misleading and at times deceptive.  This fact filled presentation will allow you to understand the science behind dental materials and their performance. Understand how to treat the high caries risk patient with silver diamine fluoride. Learn which adhesive is best for your clinical needs and see the evidence from applied clinical trials and how to use adhesives in a step by step sequence. See the specific indications and contraindications for glass ionomers and RMGI and where these materials can perform well. Confused about composite resin (simplified shades, bulk-filled, incremental-placed, flowables, low shrinkage, wear resistant and self-adhesive). No wonder clinicians are confused and skeptical. Having trouble bonding zirconia? See this three-step process covered in detail. Never have a restoration debond again.
