Course Outline

This presentation will introduce and discuss the use of composite resins for addressing anterior esthetic challenges through a direct-indirect approach, in which restorations are directly sculpted and indirectly bonded. The technique congregates the artistry and the layering concepts of direct composites with the advantages of indirect protocols. The benefits of the technique include high-quality margins and optimized control of form and final color with luting resins, in addition to being a cost-effective alternative to porcelain veneers. During this Hands Online Live program, participants will perform each step of this technique through to completion, with live demonstrations by the instructor. Dr. Fahl will answer questions from participants throughout this fast pace interactive course.

• Understanding the role of direct-indirect composite veneers as a viable alternative to direct composites and ceramic veneers

• Using “contact-lenses” and veneers to predictably change the form and color of the esthetically compromised dentition

• Optimizing results with greater operative control to avoid color mismatches and potential remakes
