A quality provisional restoration is essential for consistent excellence in aesthetic restorative dentistry.  Beautiful provisional restorations help the dentist understand aesthetic requirements, restore proper occlusal function, maintain physiologic contours, and aid in the communication of aesthetic and functional requirements of the case to the dental laboratory technician.
Quality impression making is a very important part of every dental practice.  From diagnostic models to master impressions for fabrication of crowns and bridges, the quality of the treatment will be a direct reflection of the quality of the impression. 
In this technique filled seminar, Dr. Lowe will teach you techniques needed refine these clinical skills to a level that will help create consistent quality. 

Course Objectives - Each participant will learn:

 1.    The nuances dental morphology and tooth contour – critical for proper provisional fabrication.

2.    Step-by-step techniques to carve and finish provisional restorations.

3.    The importance of proximal contacts, occlusion, and emergence contours.

4.    Techniques to make a “perfect impression” – Custom versus stock trays – Quadrant, full arch, and double bite trays (triple trays)

5.    Retraction techniques for crown and bridge impressions
