Course Description

Dental Professionals have always known how critical oral health is to overall health. Finally, dentistry is moving towards optimal care! Your dental hygiene diagnosis and treatment planning are key elements to maintaining or improving your patients’ health. This program will enhance your clinical conversations and offer solutions for the remaining 300+ days of the year.

Learning Objectives:

1. Discuss the value of clinical conversations that motivate the patient to take action on their health goals

2. Review several patient health screenings to implement for early disease detection

3. Summarize the new periodontal classifications from the 2017 World Workshop for Periodontal and Peri-implant Diseases and Conditions

4. Identify home care solutions with technology that reinforces your patient education on a daily basis.

About the Speaker

Cathy Stewart RDH, BS received her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Iowa. Cathy’s dental hygiene career has included clinical practice, experience in the dental insurance industry, public health, hospital pediatric dentistry, practice consulting and she has served as the Director of Dental Hygiene for a large dental service organization. She is currently a full time Professional Education Manager in the South Central Region for Philips Oral Healthcare.
